Ambassador Murphy at Northeastern University

Today former US Ambassador Murphy gave his views on the results of the recent elections in Germany,        the position of Germany in Europe and the world, and the strong relationship and common goals of the United States and Germany. Being an engaged and energetic speaker, the Ambassador made a case for students to travel and live abroad, to learn at least one other language, and to take up soccer. The Ambassador was introduced by Uta Poiger, Dean of Northeastern University’s College of Social Sciences and Humanities, and by Consul – General Rolf Schuette of the German Consulate in Boston. Some seventy people attended, many asking questions once invited to do so.
